    Dealer Notes

    2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

The 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is a classic example of the TJ generation of the iconic off-road vehicle, highly desired by enthusiasts for its blend of traditional open-air fun and improved on-road handling compared to its predecessors. The Sahara trim represented the more premium, well-equipped version of the Wrangler for its model year.

Engine & Performance: It features the highly regarded 4.0-liter Inline 6-cylinder engine (I6).3 This robust engine is known for its durability, reliability, and excellent low-end torque, making it ideal for off-roading.

Drivetrain: Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) with a transfer case for high and low gearing, providing legendary Jeep off-road capability, paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission.

Design & Trim: The Sahara is distinguished by its unique trim package, which generally includes body-colored fender flares and rocker panels, alloy wheels, and a more stylized interior.

Open-Air Experience: Features that define the Wrangler experience, such as a removable soft top and removable doors, offer true open-air driving.

Suspension: The TJ generation introduced a modern coil-spring suspension (replacing the older leaf springs), which significantly improved both on-road comfort and off-road articulation.

Collectible/Modifiable: As a popular TJ model, it's highly sought after for both restoration and extensive modification (lift kits, bigger tires, bumpers) for serious rock crawling or trail use.

    • Last purchase of a car 2001

I'm eighty three and have owned this 2001 Jeep Sport Wrangler since 2001. Put very little millage on it, just drive it to the store and back. This Jeep has never let me down in any weather. For most of the years of ownership I have had several batteries, fuel pump and minor brake problem and just replaced all of the original tires. I have been tempted to purchase Jeeps new pick up but thought better of it because of my age. My 2001 Jeep sport Wrangler will do me for now and will be my last purchase of any car. "I love it"!!

I really enjoy my jeep it is and has been a reliable vehicle. I travel all through winter time in it but it is not my everyday commuter, that would be very costly on the gas side of things but it is one of my favorite cars I have. pretty easy to work on even if you're aren't the best mechanic.
